Star 1 Competitive is the next stage of figure skating following FS. This program is for beginner figure skaters with the opportunity to attend competitions and participate in Skate Canada’s Test Program. Similar to the FS program, Star 1 competitive is taught in a group format offered 3 times a week with 1h on-ice and 45 min off-ice each day.
Skaters are required to skate a minimum of 2 days a week.
Option 1: Star 1 Competitive 2 day/week
Option 2: 1 Star 1 Competitive + 1 StarSkate Competitive
On-ice is taught in a group format, including preparation for our Annual Winter Ice Show.
Off-Ice is very important for skater development. Off-ice lessons are the time skaters improve their strength, coordination, dance, flexibility, and jump and spin technique, and goal setting for their training.
Competition: Skaters are strongly encouraged to participate in a minimum of 1 competition per season. Participation in more competition is greatly encouraged and great for skater development and experience.
Private lessons can be arranged upon request. For more information please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
