Bronze A, is the next stage of figure skating following FS. This program is for beginner figure skaters. At this level skaters have the opportunity to attend competitions and participate in Skate Canada’s Test Program. Bronze A will include both an on-ice and off ice program. On-ice will be taught in a group format with a portion of coaching inculded in the cost of registration. During their on-ice sessions, skaters will have the opportunity to receive a 15min semi-private lesson. Please note the coaching fee for the semi-private lessons are not included.
Off-Ice is very important for skater development. Off-ice lessons are the time skaters improve their strength, coordination, dance, flexibility, and jump and spin technique, and goal setting for their training. Skaters are recommended to skate a minimum of 2 days a week.
Competition: Skaters are strongly encouraged to participate in a minimum of 1 competition per season. Participation in more competition is highly encouraged and great for skater development and experience.
