Payment, Pro-rate, and Refund Policy

Payment
is due in full at time of registration. A $25.00 service charge will be applied to all NSF cheques, non-authorized credit card payments and declined credit card installment payments.

In the case of outstanding balances (fees owed to the club), skating privileges will be suspended until paid. Email receipts are issued at time of payment. Fees and credits are non-transferable between skaters.

All fees are listed in Canadian Dollars. All transactions are completed in Canadian Dollars.

We accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard and Discover.

Prorating for late entry: Prorating for late entry will not commence until the 3rd week of the session.

Refund: Please keep in mind that there are no refunds after the first day of skating, except for medical reasons, which will be considered on a case by case basis. All requests for refunds for medical reasons must be submitted in writing to the BSC Board of Directors (burnabyskatingclub.board@gmail.com), and must be accompanied by a doctor’s note, in order to be considered.

Skate Canada Membership fees are non-refundable and are not prorated. The skater must have missed a minimum of 5 consecutive registered days. Refunds will not be considered for skaters who miss only some of their registered sessions or use drop in ice. An administrative fee of $10 applies to all cancellations and refunds. Refunds will be issued in the form of credits and are non-transferable.

Burnaby Skating Club does not issue refunds or credits in the event of ice cancellations by the Arena or due to mechanical break-down, or due to unforeseen circumstances.  If a skater misses a registered class/day, they may not skate on a different session to "make up" for missing a session. Any skater who has not paid for a session must pay the buy-on fee for the entire time, regardless of time skated.

Burnaby Skating Club reserves the right to cancel sessions with low registration. Registrants will be offered their choice of an alternate, comparable session or a full refund.
